Two events in one going on here:
Event 1 is the actual 10K run. Runners kick off the race with a taste of North Bay beer from Crooked Goat and then jog it off through the streets of the Barlow and Sebastopol.
Stick around, because at noon there's the Beer Mile Invitational:
"Join us as we take in the spectacle that is the Beer Mile Invitational. Elite runners from around the world will compete to complete the task of drinking a beer, running a quarter-mile lap, and repeating the process four times. The current world record is 4:34:35, held by Corey Bellemore of Canada. Runners will complete four laps around the McKinley – Laguna Park Way – Morris block of The Barlow. Cheer our runners on as they pass through the “Chug Zone” on their way to victory! We will hold two heats – one comprised of elites and the other of brewery teams."
Sounds like a riot!
